KNIGHTS RACE TO 2007 MTAC CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS!
October 23- The Lancaster Christian varsity boys' cross country team won their second consecutive conference championship on Tuesday. Freshman Ian Knight covered the muddy course in 18:52 to claim the individual title, while freshman Devon Lancaster was runner-up with a time of 19:40. Junior Matt hew Ward was also named All-Conference. The LCA varsity girls' also claimed the conference championship, winning it for the first time. Suzannah Jarmalouk claimed runner-up in the race. In the middle school races, Lancaster finished third in both the boys' and girls' side. LCA has now claimed six championships in middle and high school cross country in just three years of action. KNIGHT, LANCASTER MAKE THEIR MARK AT RUTHERFORD CO. CHAMPIONSHIPS
October 12- Running in the freshman and sophomore JV race at the Rutherford County championships, freshmen Ian Knight and Devon Lancaster both finished in the top five on Thursday. Knight took first place with a time of 19:01, a time that would have seen him place in the varsity race. Lancaster took fourth place with a time of 19:34. On Tuesday, Knight and Lancaster continued their conference dominance, picking up first and second place respectively at the Currey Ingram invite. In the middle school girls' race, Suzannah Jarmalouk finished a surprising second while Kiersten Kucker took sixth. The conference cross country championship will take place on October 23 and will be hosted by LCA. The race will begin at 4:30 at Smyrna Elementary. |

CROSS COUNTRY TEAM IMPROVES TO 2-0, KNIGHT WINS AGAIN
September 25- The LCA high school boys' cross country team improved to 2-0 on the season with a convincing finish at their first home meet of the season. With the win, the Knights are strong favorites to win back-to-back MTAC titles. Freshman Ian Knight once again took first place, his second MTAC win of the season. Devon Lancaster and Kevin Dobson finished second and third, mirroring their finish at the WHCA meet earlier this season. Matt Ward and Nick Beard rounded out the scoring for LCA. In the middle school race, Suzannah Jarmalouk took fifth place while Emily Barringer finished seventh. Devon Kucker finished 7th on the boys' side. The next MTAC race will take place at Currey Ingram on October 9th. |

VARSITY BOYS CONTINUE WINNING WAYS, OPEN CC SEASON WITH VICTORY
September 11- The LCA high school boys' cross country team defeated Currey Ingram Academy and White House Christian Academy in the MTAC season opener on Tuesday. The win is sixth straight victory for the varsity team, dating back to last season's championship run. Freshman Ian Knight took first place with a time of 19:14. Freshman Devon Lancaster and junior Kevin Dobson placed second and third respectively. In the high school girls race---a narrow 23-22 loss for LCA---senior M.J. Alexander finised second and Abby Forbes was third. Eighth grader Emily Barringer led the middle school cross country squad with a sixth place finish. Shelby Nelson finished seventeenth and Conrad Hardison took fifteenth. LCA will host the next league meet on September 25. |

MORGAN LEADS LANCASTER TO FIRST-EVER CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
October 21, 2006- The LCA varsity boys' cross country team won the TVAC championship in dominating fashion on Saturday, sweeping the top five spots. Senior Shane Morgan won his first race of the year and was named conference champion and All-TVAC. "It felt great to come out and win the last race of my high school career," said Morgan. "I'm proud of what our team accomplished for LCA." Morgan's teammates Nick Dwyer and Kevin Dobson finished second and third, respectively, and were also named All-TVAC. Sophomore Cody Guynn and eighth grader Ian Knight rounded out the scoring for the Knights. The championship was the second conference title in LCA history and the first this year. |
