VARSITY BOYS REBOUND IN 2006-2007, FINISH 17-8 ON SEASON

February 25- The varsity boys' basketball team defeated Franklin Christian Academy 66-35 in the third place game of the TVAC tourney on Saturday. Coming off a 5-19 season, the Knights finished 2007 with a record of 17-8.
"One of our goals this season was to be in a position to compete for the TVAC championship, and we accomplished that," stated head coach Derek Chirch. "I am extremely proud of this group of guys and how hard they worked to turn things around this year. I'm sad to see our seniors go, but they have laid a great foundation for our program in their time here."
Brandon Lancaster, Shane Morgan, and Leif Bennett will all graduate this spring. However, LCA returns 80% of its offense, including county-leading scorer Gabe Brewer and county-leading rebounder Caleb Ingram. "Our goals for next year are to win twenty games and to win the TVAC," commented Coach Chirch. "I believe we have a great chance to do those things if we work hard enough and believe in one another."
