LADY KNIGHTS SET SIGHTS ON CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP

February 19- Last season, the LCA Lady Knights fell just short in the conference championship game losing to Aaron Academy 41-32. Lancaster hopes to take the next step this week as they enter the MTAC tournament with a record of 10-8 as the second seed in the field.

In 2007, LCA made a remarkable run to the conference title game. After an 0-15 start, the Lady Knights won three straight tournament games before falling to Aaron Academy. LCA currently sports an 8-2 record in the conference, paced by over 17.0 ppg from sophomore Ashleigh Gyalog. Victoria Finley, a junior, has added a second double-digit scorer to the mix for the Lady Knights and made them a legitimate contender in this week's tournament.

The Lady Knights open MTAC action tonight at Hooptown against Franklin Christian Academy. LCA defeated the Lady Falcons handily in their only meeting this year. A win will place LCA in a semi-final match-up this Friday at the Old BGA gym against either Currey Ingram or Christian Community. Come out and support your Lady Knights!

Ashleigh Gyalog is averaging over 17 ppg.
